10-30-15
This week in child development, we focused on the physical development in toddlers. I thought that it was really interesting how toddlers are actually called toddlers because they toddle when they walk. On Friday, we went to different activities around the room that a toddler would usually enjoy, and had to analyze them. (I would just like to say that spanking is not child abuse).

This week in child development, we worked on our child day care centers. We had to construct a layout for the main room and outdoor area, while recording the supplies needed. It was actually way harder than it sounds, because you have to be careful not to break any state rules.

This week in child development, we finished working on our toys. We also created a lesson plan for infants, which was harder than it sounds. I really enjoyed the activity that we did for bell work on Friday, because it was a nice change instead of writing an answer down on a piece of paper.

what I learned his week
This week in child development, we learned about the social, emotional, and physical developments in infants. We also had to create a toy that would promote all three of those developments in an infant. My group created a really cool toy that can record someone's voice.

10-1-15
This week in child development, we had to take our flour babies apart. Because of what had been happening to the babies around campus, we no longer are able to do that project. We also had to read an article on child abuse, and how there are short-term and long-term consequences.
